Alliance Healthcare

Alliance Healthcare is a stockist of pharmaceutical products and provides services to the pharmaceutical industry, pharmacies and hospitals. The story began more than 80 years ago in the UK, when the UniChem group was founded in 1938. It has been present in Portugal since 1990, has 450 employees and warehouses in Lisbon, Porto, Almancil, Castelo Branco, the Azores and Madeira. It distributes medicines and health products to more than 2,450 pharmacies throughout the country.

For the Pharmaceutical Industry, they offer a wide range of services including sales support dynamics, distribution strategies, training, consultancy, call center and branding support. Alliance Healthcare also has a portfolio of its own brands and is one of the largest companies in the country in terms of turnover.

Alliance Healthcare and Helexia

Sustainability has been a focus for Alliance Healthcare, which decided to implement two self-consumption energy production plants in Alverca and Almancil. These two self-consumption plants will allow Alliance Healthcare to save on energy bills, be less dependent on the electricity grid and increase the value of its two properties, while contributing to a low-carbon economy.

This partnership will also ensure the maintenance of the plants for a period of 10 years, guaranteeing the best production ratios and the good performance of the plants.
