Alliance Healthcare chose Helexia to implement a self-consumption photovoltaic plant as part of its decarbonization roadmap.

The photovoltaic plant has 75 panels and 41 kWp installed. It produces 70 MWh of clean energy per year. Energy production will be optimized by a 10-year maintenance contract guaranteed by Helexia.

Alliance Healthcare with clean energy

The use of solar energy on a self-consumption basis allows Alliance Healthcare to produce its own energy, be less dependent on the electricity grid and reduce energy bills. At the same time, there is the contribution to the environment: 33 tons of CO2 emissions are avoided annually, which is equivalent to planting 850 trees.

From needs analysis to implementation, we believe that a decarbonized economy is the path to growth.

Portugal has made a commitment to the energy transition towards carbon neutrality with the Roadmap to Carbon Neutrality 2050 (RNC2050) and the PNEC2030. With ambitious but achievable targets, it seeks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and consolidate a competitive, resilient and low-carbon economy. One of these targets is to achieve 47% of energy from renewable sources by 2030, taking advantage of the country's high solar energy potential, which has around 300 days of sunshine a year. Companies should follow this strategy and consider implementing photovoltaic plants for self-consumption, along with energy efficiency and consumption reduction measures.
