Pingo Doce looks at the decarbonization of its value chain in an integrated way and in partnership with Helexia has placed solar panels at its Vila Meã store for the local production of solar energy for self-consumption.
Pingo Doce with solar self-consumption
With a 150 kWp photovoltaic plant on the roof, which allows an annual production of 212 MWh and a self-consumption rate of 97%. Thus, the Pingo Doce of Vila Meã avoids the emission of 95 tons of CO2, equivalent to planting 2,451 trees annually.
97% self-consumption at Pingo Doce de Albergaria-a-Velha
The photovoltaic plant on the roof allows an annual production of 242 MWh. The Pingo Doce of Albergaria-a-velha avoids the emission of 109 tons of CO2 per year.
Through a partnership with Helexia, Pingo Doce in Gandra has installed a photovoltaic plant for self-consumption, divided between the roof of the building and the solar carport.
