Ceramics produced with renewable energy in Domino
Dominó is starting its partnership with Helexia by installing a photovoltaic solar power plant with around 3000 solar panels, a total capacity of 1 MW and the ability to produce 1400 MWh of energy per year. This plant offers a practical response to Dominó by reducing its energy bill and 609 tons of CO2 annually, the equivalent of planting 15600 trees a year.
This project, besides the economic and ecological advantages mentioned above, has a third major advantage in that it reduces public health risks by replacing the asbestos cement roofing (a material containing asbestos) in the entire area where the photovoltaic plant is installed in the Domino building.
